2025: Alice Bailey and Hindu Teaching Claim Trouble is Coming
If there is anything which will grab the attention of even the most ardent secularist, it is predictions concerning the end of the world. The latest story to appear in the secular press points to March 21, 2025 as the date the world will supposedly suffer cataclysm.
This belief stems from Hindu teaching which claims that, “A number of ancient cultures believed in a Cycle of World Ages in which we gradually descend from a state of spiritual perfection and material abundance to one of ignorance and scarcity. In ancient India, this was called the Yuga Cycle. The Yuga Cycle doctrine tells us that we are now living in the Kali Yuga; the age of darkness, when moral virtue and mental capabilities reach their lowest point in the cycle. Men turn to wickedness; disease, lethargy, anger, natural calamities, anguish and fear of scarcity dominate. Penance, sacrifices and religious observances fall into disuse. All creatures degenerate. Change passes over all things, without exception.” Hinduism may call that the Kali Yuga cycle, but it appears to be a lot like the conditions described in Romans 1!
Bibhu Dev Misra, who recently wrote a book entitled “Yuga Shift: The End of the Kali Yuga and the Impending Planetary Transformation” claims that between the years 2025 and 2040, the world will enter the “end times”. Interestingly, he also goes on to claim that there will be a few who survive these cataclysmic events and “will inherit a renewed earth, and become the seeds of a new humanity, which will chart its course to the next Golden Age or Satya Yuga.” In what is surely bad news for Klaus Schwab and his club of globalist elites, Misra also claims that, “As the Kali Yuga energies will be on wane after 2025, the tyrants and dictators, who control the affairs of the world, may begin to find that their evil plans are no longer coming to fruition as easily as before. Their lies will get exposed, their propaganda will no longer be as effective, and their wicked schemes for gaining more profit and control will get disrupted. They may face increasing opposition from people around the world, who will begin to stand up for themselves and demand an end to the deceptions, injustices, exploitation of resources, instigated revolutions and false flag terror attacks.”
But no false religion would be complete without its own version of a saviour and in this belief, there is a prediction of the appearance of a divine being called the Kalki Avatar. This being is supposedly the incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu and appears at the end of the Kali Yuga. Interestingly, some Hindus believe he appears riding on a white horse and holding a blazing sword. His mission, according to Hindu writing, is as follows: “He would make the earth a peaceful place to live in. He would possess tremendous energy, great intelligence, as well as infinite powers. He would establish peace and order in the world. A new era of truth will dawn on the earth.”
Other descriptions of the Kali Yuga period seem to reflect the devastation caused during the Tribulation Period. It is claimed that from 2025 and beyond natural disasters like floods, cyclones, landslides, wildfires, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions may increase. However, unlike the 7-year Tribulation Period, Misra believes that the chaos will last until 2040 after which a small group of survivors, with the aid of divine and even inter-dimensional beings rebuild civilisation and live “simple, humble lives, in tune with nature, and in alignment with dharma.”
But the year 2025 is not just held as a pivotal year in Hindu teaching. People familiar with the writings of Alice Bailey would also remember that she claimed the year 2025 would herald a period of transformation. She had written many books, claiming that they were telepathically transmitted to her by the Tibetan Master Djwal Khul (Master DK for short). In her book, “The Externalization of the Hierarchy”, Bailey wrote: “Thus a great and new movement is proceeding and a tremendously increased interplay and interaction is taking place. This will go on until A.D. 2025. During the years intervening between now and then very great changes will be seen taking place, and at the great General Assembly of the Hierarchy—held as usual every century—in 2025 the date in all probability will be set for the first stage of the externalization of the Hierarchy. The present cycle (from now until that date) is called technically "The Stage of the Forerunner". It is preparatory in nature, testing in its methods, and intended to be revelatory in its techniques and results.”
Could it be that Bailey also believed in something similar to the Kalki Avatar? Is this where she began to develop the view that 2025 would be a pivotal year for the world? Once again, turning to “The Externalization of the Hierarchy”, she writes: “I would assert here that the great and satisfying reply to all human questioning and human need is to be found in the doctrine of Avatars, and in the continuity of divine Revelations. This is the persistent belief—ineradicable and unalterable—that (at major moments of world need) God reveals Himself through Appearances, through a Coming One. This doctrine is found in all the basic world religions, in every time and age; it appears in the doctrine of the Avatars of the Hindu faith, in the teaching of the return of Maitreya Buddha or the Kalki Avatar, in the belief in the Western world in the return of Christ and His Advent or second Coming, and in the prophesied issuing forth of the divine Adventurer of the Moslem world.”
There is no doubt that we are living in the time of the signs and one of the most prominent is rampant deception. We certainly do believe that time is growing short, but not because Hinduism teaches it or Alice Bailey was “inspired” to write about it. We believe that time is short because God, through His Word, taught us how to discern the times by adopting a Biblical worldview anchored in His truth. Of all the uncertainty in this world at the moment, how wonderful it is to cling to the knowledge that His plans, His purposes, His prophecies and His promises will prevail.
